Don Amberg

After graduating with a BS in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Southern California in 1991, Don entered the Aerospace industry with McDonnell Douglas in Huntington Beach, CA. His primary work was in Structural Design and Integration of Launch Vehicles. He worked on several launch vehicles including the Delta II and the DC-X /XA reusable prototype. He was one of the original DC-X /XA design team members as well as the vehicle and ground systems structural test site engineer for many test flights. In 1998 Don began work for Rocket Development Company as a structures and integration engineer. His primary focus was on cryogenic propellant tank development as well as vehicle design. He began working in the recruiting field with ACG Consultants in 2007.

Don strives to gain an understanding of his client’s goals and requirements in order to deliver top performing candidates. Understanding a client’s business goals, management style and culture leads to candidates more perfectly matched to the client’s team.

Getting to know a candidate as a person is paramount to finding a well-matched position. Don’s goal is to match a unique person with a great career and personal opportunity.

Don's business spans Aerospace Industry with a primary emphasis on launch vehicle manufacturers and their suppliers. This includes companies producing expendable and reusable vehicles, testing and ground systems. Don is willing to take on any staffing challenge his clients have. He is also involved in the General Manufacturing Industry with an emphasis on mobile equipment manufacturers and their suppliers.

Don and his wife live in Northern Oregon. He enjoys camping, hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding and spending time with his wife, family.
